Carmo-Lact Prod invests 4 million euros in a dairy farm in Bistrita - March 16th, 2010
Carmo-Lact Prod company from Monor, Bistrita-Nasaud count, a producer of milk and dairy products will invest 4 mil. Euros in establishing a dairy farm with a daily production of 35,000 liters of milk per day. The investment will be carried out on 5 hectares rented on long term by Carmo-Lact Prod in Monor, and the necessary finance will be assured both from banking loans and own finance: " We have started this investment in order to provide raw material necessary for the production process of the dairy factory. We hope the farm will be functional next year in spring, although it will reach maximum capacity only at the end of 2011, beginning 2012", said Alin Neagos, economic director of Carmo-Lact Prod.
Currently the company owns a dairy farm of 150 heads in Monor and three factories for milk processing. Carmo-Lact Prod closed 2009 with a turn over above 46.1 mil lei (approximately 11 mil. Euros), a 3% decrease compared to the previous year. Regarding the dairy market, the representatives of the company believe that the most difficult period will be during the summer months, even if, the market is registering a slight revival now, as compared to the same period in 2009. The shareholders of the company are Ioan Neagos and Creosteanu Eugen-Adrian, each owns 50% of the total shares.
