Financial Support for Milk Quota Owners - May 5th 2010
The Agency for Payments and Intervention for Agriculture (APIA) notifies the milk producers that, until May 14th 2010, they can apply for financial support for the milk quota holders who delivered milk during the milk quota year of 2008-2009.
According to GD no. 365/2010, depending on the delivered quantity during the quota year of 2008-2009, the producer can benefit from a financial support of 200 euro (for a delivered milk quantity between 10,000 and 20,000 kg), of 2,000 euro (for a delivered quantity of at least 200,000 kg and 500,000 kg most) or of 1,200 euro (for deliveries bigger than 500,000 kg). For producers who have delivered a quantity between 20,000 and 200,000 kg the value of the financial support is to be calculated based on the achieved individual quota for deliveries as at March 31st, 2009.
In order to implement the support measures for the milk and dairy products sector, Romania benefits from EU funds amounting to 5,010,401 euro. In order to benefit from these funds, milk producers must send an application (in person or by post) to the County Offices of APIA, no later than May 14th 2010, and must meet the criteria established by GD no. 365/2010.
