Annual Milk Quota Declarations - July 21, 2009
Agency for Payments and Intervention for Agriculture warns farmers with milk cows that the deadline for submission of the annual quota milk is 14 May 2009. Thus, all producers holders of milk quota for direct sales, and buyers of milk quota, must submit annual declarations on these sales, and deliveries made in that year rate 2008-2009. For each calendar day of delay, producers and buyers risk penalties of 0.01%, calculated from the amount allocated for direct sales, respectively for deliveries. Also, the producer which does not meet the deadlines and obligations on the annual statement is likely to lose the right to sell milk, by withdrawal of the milk quota to the national reserve. Also, buyers of milk quota that do not send the annual statement are likely to lose the right to buy milk from the quota holders.
