Ministry of Agriculture decides to postpone the second session for submitting projects for EU financing - December 5th, 2009
In spring this year it was decided to have two sessions for submitting projects for EU financing (EAFRD) for investments in farms (measure 121) and food processing (measure 123).
The first session of the year for measure 121 took place during 7 September - 2 October. The funds available for that session amounted to EUR 161 million, while the 949 projects submitted had a total value of EUR 541 million. In addition, due to the fact that the scoring system has been changed in 2009, the 900 projects declared eligible in the session November-December 2008 but which were not selected due to insufficient funds (and therefore carried forward to the first 2009 session) will also have to be reassessed based on the new scoring.
The Paying Agency is also assessing at the moment some 166 projects for measure 123 (food processing) and 1669 projects for measure 322 (village renewal and development). Due to the impressive number of projects under evaluation, the Ministry of Agriculture has decided to postpone the second session for submitting projects under measure 121 and 123 from the initially set period (10.10-27.11.2009) to a later date - not yet known.
