European Commission: Starting with June 30 EU agricultural funds will be cut off progressively until October 15 - May 16th, 2008
Farmers will receive their due subsidy for 2007 but the European Commission will not reimburse the Romanian government if payments for more than 4% of the total funds are delayed after June 30, EC Spokesperson for agriculture and rural development Michael Mann declared for HotNews.ro. He added that in its first post-accession year, Hungary made 99.6% of the due payments while Poland 91.1%.
